The main reason Chaac does not work in support is because he lacks hard CC outside of his ult.

Also, solo laners have the blue buff for mana sustain, plus there are so many defense items that give MP5. The solo laner is also a tank, but they are diving the enemy team, not protecting their own. If he wants to play aggressive and do all that damage, he should go to solo. Chaac ult is simply not enough to deter the enemy, who can simply beads his ult or use their own CC immune ult. The main purpose of support is to PROTECT your own backline (Mage and Hunter) from the enemy Jungle and Solo that are diving them. He needs to understand the purpose of a Support and why certain Gods are good there and others are not. It's getting pretty frustrating, not gonna lie. How do I get him to understand the role of support and that Chaac is not ideal for this role? We've all told him about rotations, builds, importance of CC, etc., but he doesn't seem to get it since he tends to get top damage and believes he is playing his role as he should. When the opposition support rotates, he stays in lane with our ADC and keeps pushing, decreasing the amount of XP and gold our carry gets in the mid game. Sucks for our ADC who is trying to do the same with Trans or Devos. Since Chaac is mana hungry, he thinks he needs to buy Transcendence which you all know needs stacks. Whenever he gets the role of support, he insists going Chaac support who doesn't really have any CC in his kit other than his slow with his rain and silence in his ult. Though it'd probably be more fun if I could get this particular friend to understand the role of support in Conquest.

So my friends and I have been playing Smite for about a year now, and it's really fun.
